Longhorn athletics revenues higher than every other college athletic program

Longhorn fans pack into the Darrell K. Royal Stadium to cheer on one of the most successful teams, revenue-wise.

$150 million is a lot - especially as revenue from a collegiate athletic program. Of course, that's just what the Longhorns did last year (2010-2011). The Longhorns spent around $133.6 million on their teams, still generating a profit of $16.6 million. The fact some Big 12 schools actually ended up losing upwards of one million dollars only emphasizes how impressive this accomplishment is. Go Longhorns!

The University of Texas did not make the most money, though. Kansas State beat Texas in that regard, generating more than $23 million in profits.
