List of Big 12 Games on Big Monday

During the college basketball season, ESPN hosts Big Monday.  Big Monday is a showcase for the best games going on each Monday in college basketball.  Here's a look at the Big Monday games that Big 12 teams are playing in.  Get excited for the Longhorn games!

Texas Longhorns Get #4 Seed

The Texas Longhorns finished the regular season with a 27-7 record. They finished runner-up in the Big 12 Tournament, losing to Kansas 85-73 in the championship game. They received the #4 seed in the West region and will open up against the Oakland Golden Grizzlies, a team that went 25-9 and 17-1 in their conference. They are a team capable of upsets, beating Tennessee this season and losing to Michigan State by 1. In the West, Duke got a #1, San Diego State got the #2, and Connecticut got the #3.

Texas Longhorns Move to #2 In Country

The Texas Longhorns are now the #2 team in the country.  The only team ahead of them are the Kansas Jayhawks, who the Longhorns have already defeated this season.  Kansas received 14 of the 31 first-place votes, while Texas garnered 13.  Ohio State, the unanimous No. 1 for the past three weeks, dropped to third after losing its first game of the season Saturday to Wisconsin in Madison.
