For the majority of the Longhorns season so far, one of the most intriguing storylines was the shuffling of starting quarterbacks by the Longhorns.
The Longhorns recently announced that the competition has gone from 3 down to just 2. The school has announced that junior QB Garrett Gilbert underwent shoulder surgery Tuesday morning and will miss the remainder of the 2011 season.
Who do you have for the Longhorns full-time QB?

Texas Longhorn Network Sparks Talks of Fairness
The Longhorns finished in last place in the Big 12 South last season, but despite that, the Longhorns have been a major topic of discussion at Big 12 media days. The Longhorn Network has been the main focus.
Set to launch on August 26, the $300 million collaboration between Texas and ESPN has raised concerns about the fairness of the deal, especially the advantage Texas may have over other universities in the recruiting process.
Only time will tell what has, up to now, only been speculated about. The effects of the Longhorn network will be seen soon enough.

Top Running Back Selects Texas Longhorns
According to ESPN:
"Johnathan Gray, considered to be the best high school running back in Texas and perhaps the best prep running back in the country, committed to Texas, picking the Longhorns over Texas A&M and TCU.
The Aledo, Texas, native placed a call on Thursday night to Texas coach Mack Brown and delivered the news, according to a report in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram.
Most individual prospect rankings haven't been finalized yet, but the running back can validate his non-binding commitment by signing his letter of intent next February.
Back in January, ESPN RISE named Gray, a 5-foot-10, 195-pounder, Mr. Football USA, the award for the national player of the year. He was the first junior to ever win the award.
In the state championship game last December, he ran for 323 yards and eight touchdowns, finishing with 3,183 for the season."
