Longhorns Baseball land a handful of Big 12 Baseball Awards

Yesterday, the Big 12 conference announced their end of the year baseball awards and our Texas Longhorns received a vast amount of them.

Texas Longhorns junior Taylor Jungmann was a unanimous selection for Big 12 Pitcher of the Year, Erich Weiss was tabbed Big 12 Freshman of the Year and Augie Garrido was named Big 12 Co-Coach of the Year, in voting conducted by the league's coaches, the conference announced on Tuesday.

The Longhorns also had five players named to the All-Big 12 teams. Infielders Brandon Loy and Erich Weiss, starting pitcher Taylor Jungmann and relief pitcher Corey Knebel were named to the All-Big 12 First Team. Infielder Tant Shepherd was named to the All-Big 12 Second Team. Pitcher Cole Green and outfielder Paul Montalbano were All-Big 12 Honorable Mention.
