The Texas Longhorns won their first football game on Saturday. They played the Rice Owls and they looked pretty dominant in their opener. They had far too many athletes for the Owls to match up with, which made this a very easy win for the Longhorns. The most promising part of this win is that starting quarterback Garrett Gilbert looked very good in the win. Hopefully he is able to take the reigns of this starting quarterback job and run with it.
