The Texas Longhorns broke out of their slump where they have lost two games in a row and five of their last six by picking up a win over the Texas Tech Red Raiders 74-57.
Texas improved their poor first half shooting by 10% to 43 percent, which was enough to counter Texas Tech, who also drastically improved their shooting in the second half.
Texas was led by Clint Chapman, who scored 20 points, had nine rebounds and five blocks on Saturday night. J'Covan Brown and Sheldon McClellan also contributed in the scoring as each scored 17 points.
With the win, Texas is now sitting at a solid (but not great) 14-9 and (a definitely not great) 4-6 in Big 12 play.
